"Upon listening to the song, you can quickly hear what they excel at: namely fuzzed-up hooks that sway back and forth like the ocean on a clear day. There's edge to the band's bite, the guitars getting a little darker at the midpoint before revving back up for a wavy solo."  -- CLRVYNT

Monograms began as the solo project of Brooklyn's Ian Jacobs and has since grown into a four-piece band. They've kept busy over the past couple of years playing plenty of hometown shows, opening for acts like GØGGS, Sløtface, Ezra Furman, and Juan Wauters.

The band's Silencer EP, released in April, features four tracks that were recorded during different sessions, with different lineups, over the previous twelve months. EP single "OK Promises" was also featured on a 7" split with fellow Brooklynites Pink Mexico, released via Archie's Records.

The band will follow the EP with new single "Sleep Cycle," due out December 1st. It marks a new direction for Monograms, and finds them experimenting with a darker, heavier sound. The single will be released digitally and on limited-edition cassette.
